…..calls on Kogi State Government to do more in terms of security of the State
Barrister Kabiru Usman has on Sunday lamented the incessant killings ongoing in Oganenigu community of Kogi State.
The PDP governorship aspirant called for peace in the community among the warring factions. He also called on the Kogi State Government to do more in keeping Oganenigu community and consequently Kogi State safe.
“The attacks on the people of Kogi State in Oganenigu community are shocking. I commiserate with the families of those who have lost loved ones and properties to these attacks.
“I call on the warring factions to sheathe their swords and give peace a chance. I also want to call on the Kogi State Government to do better in terms of information gathering and intelligence and security measures as keeping our communities safe remains a top priority of every Government and hence this present Government must not sit idly by and watch our people get killed by elements who are no less disturbers of the peace and harmony that normally exist in our communities. An attack on one Kogite is an attack on the State itself. Therefore, the State Government must sit up and ensure our communities are safe,” Barrister Kabiru Usman said.
