SA Energy, Omoluabi Commends Governor Ododo, NERC On Permission For Kogi To Generate, Distribute Electricity, Says It’s A New High Towards Providing Good Governance

 

The Special Adviser to Kogi state Governor on Energy Matters, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has commended the state Chief Executive, His Excellency Usman Ododo on the significant milestone of securing permission from the federal government, which allows the Confluence State to generate and distribute its electricity to the people.

He also commended the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) for its cooperation and support which made the laudable achievement possible.

Recall that Kogi State Commissioner for Rural and Energy Development, Engineer Abdulmutalib Muhammed, announced this cheering news while briefing newsmen immediately after the State Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.

Omoluabi who has been at the forefront of advocacy for this milestone also commended the Commissioner for Rural Development and Energy for his relentless efforts in making the government succeed in the energy sector. He expressed delight that the horizon is now open for people of Kogi to enjoy the dividends of good governance which Gov. Ododo is poised to offer every part of the state.

In a statement he personally endorsed, Omoluabi said this achievement marks a new height in the quest to improve the livelihood of millions of Kogi Indigenes.

He said, “His Excellency, Governor Usman Ododo has once again demonstrated that by the people of Kogi State to recruit him was not only an informed but a wise choice poised to rewrite the history of our great state and put it on a pedestal of progressively mobile state.

“With this, the availability, accessibility and affordability mantra for electricity Omoluabi has always yearned for will be opened for millions of our people, which in turn will stimulate the economy, fight hunger and provide means of livelihood to our teeming youths, especially for entrepreneurs who are the drivers of every sustainable economy.

“Kogi, which stands tall as an industrial hub will have an aggressive inflow of investment that will drive small and medium scale enterprises, provide an enhanced environment for agriculture to thrive, boost food production and fight insecurity as our youths will find job opportunities in the entrepreneurship-frinedly environment our amiable Governor is creating.

“This singular achievement of securing permission for the state to be on the league of those who can leverage on its resources to provide improved electricity access is not just a relief but but a new vista to stimulate improvement in other sectors like health, education, commerce, and industries”, he noted.

Omoluabi while stating that Kogi’s journey towards sufficiency in electricity will be the driving force to enhance improvement in all other sectors of the economy in the nearest future.

He also commended the leadership of NERC for its supportive role to deepen good governance and improvement of infrastructure in the states.
