Rt. Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna IJN Condoles with Bassa Nge Kingdom Over the Passing of HRM Brig. Gen. Abu Ali, Mopa III (Rtd), Etsu Bassa Nge

The Member representing Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna IJN, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the paramount ruler of Bassa Nge Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Brigadier General Abu Ali, Mopa III (Rtd), the Etsu Bassa Nge.

Rt. Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna described the late traditional ruler as a symbol of unity, peace, and development whose leadership greatly impacted the Bassa Nge people and the entire Bassa Local Government Area. He noted that the passing of HRM Mopa III is not only a loss to the Bassa Nge Kingdom but also to Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

In his condolence message, he commiserated with the royal family, the Bassa Nge Traditional Council, and the entire Bassa LGA, praying that God grants them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. He further urged the people to remain united in honour of the remarkable legacies the late monarch left behind.

Rt. Hon. Haruna called on all to take solace in the impactful life the Etsu lived, marked by service, courage, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the progress of his people.

He prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of His Royal Majesty, Brigadier General Abu Ali, Mopa III (Rtd).
