The Riverine Peace Initiative in Niger Delta ( RINPD) has congratulated the Delta State Governor Elect, Rt. Sherrif Oborevwori on his Victory at the just concluded Governorship election.
The congratulatory statement was signed by the National President of RPIND, Comrade Toluwa Mulade and Publicity Secretary, Peter German describing Rt. Sherrif Oborevwori as a grassroots politician .
” Your unique humble disposition, meekness and care for the ordinary Deltans, your sterling performance in the Delta House of Assembly no doubt paved way for you at the just concluded election”.
Despite the betrayal of the supposed strong men in your Party, PDP, the ordinary Deltans proved that indeed power belong to the people and not the the few mighty men.
” Filled with Joy, we at the Riverine Peace Initiative in Niger Delta are rejoicing with you as we believed on this mandate from the onset that God almighty will give you victory”
Stressing further, the group urged Pela of Labour Party, Gbagi of SDP and Omo Agege of All Progressive Congress to emulate Chief great Ogboru’s sportsmanship and congratulate the Governor Elect.
He however advised the contestants to congratulate the Governor Elect and join hands to build Delta to be better than it is right now.
” We have no other place we can call our own, we therefore urged all the Candidates to join hands with the Governor Elect and build Delta to be the best of all the States in Nigeria “.
He advised the Governor Elect, Rt. Sherrif Oborevwori to put behind all that transpired during the electioneering campaign and carry all Deltans along in the new government as they wish him success and divine wisdom to pilot affairs of the state.
