Of a truth, it’s sickening and outright wrong for anybody to despise you on the basis of your standing by your convictions and interests, especially in politics. Feel “NO” guilt.
I have read a lot of social media crossfire aimed at proving one’s unalloyed loyalty to his or her choice of interest (Aspirant). Sadly, 95% of these persons have no power or influence over their respective ward delegates, who will be choosing for us who flag the Party (APC) gubernatorial ticket.
Aside from the Executive Governor having the monopoly to choose for the party, the “Ad-hoc Delegate” decides who flies the party ticket.
Over time, it’s obvious that no matter how much you market your interest by dedicating every day to posting and writing epistle, it’s not even 5% influential because of the nature of our politics.
We are already practicing a monetized system of primary elections. So, what’s the point of crucifying and maligning one another?
Stop bottling people’s neck unnecessary. I put it to you that 75% of the ad-hoc ward “delegates” are not here. Politician like ‘uneducated’ people as ad-hoc delegate for some obvious reasons. A stooge with no contrary view either, as a result of untold hardships and affliction.
The energy you spend drenching on who is loyal or not, the double standard, and the fencing even when the suspicious person has no power or influence, is too much. Besides, it’s the party (APC) that’s supreme, and that usually comes after primary election.
Again, some of these guys you see marketing two to three candidates in APC are direct beneficiaries of the aspirants and ofcourse the New Direction Government.
They choose to market them separately, without comparison, and with the same Facebook profile and page without feeling guilty because they are cool with either of the options so posted. It’s not hypocrisy, and it’s not a double standard. It’s just what I describe as “conscience satisfaction.”
They choose to be active rather than being silent. For instance, many of those guys who are simultaneously marketing the duo (Chief Edward David Onoja and Pharm Abdulkarim Jamiu Asuku) are their beneficiaries, knowing full well that both of them are eminently qualified to succeed His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
For record purposes, it was Chief Edward Onoja’s unalloyed loyalty and unflinching support that made him the Deputy Governor, just like Pharm. Asuku’s unalloyed loyalty made him the Chief of Staff.
Sadly, many of the aspirants do not know the “Ad-hoc delegates” for the primary election because of the selection processes adopted.
The same thing applies to many of us. We don’t know the selected persons (Ad-hoc delegates) from our various wards.
The ad hoc delegate system is 100 percent at the mercy of the governor.
Save your energy. Enjoy every available stipends. Your opinions don’t count at this moment. Political watchers don’t use your arguments which is also laced with individual envy and hatred as yardstick for making political decisions.
We have state Assembly elections next week Saturday, grassroots is the code. We must deliver 25/25.
The local government chairmen, Local Government stakeholders and local government party chairmen will work in synergy to select the ad-hoc delegate without your consent.
The unnecessary classification of some persons as unloyal and ungrateful is grossly inadequate at the moment.
What we need at the moment is for God to lead us right. Because our various representatives (the Ad-hoc delegates) will be controlled by their stomachs as well as by the Local Government stakeholders and Local Government party chairmen.
I repeat, dragging a Party Loyalist who has zero influence on the Ad-hoc Delegate for posting two to three candidates on social media is unnecessary and a misplaced priority. FOCUS on delivering the next House of Assembly election for APC.
The Governor knows who is more competent and reliable to succeed and complements his achievements, having spent (Seven) 7 years working closely with virtually all of the nominated aspirant.
In the end, we all going to rally round whoever Wins the party (APC) ticket.
