Respect your husbands, monitor your daughters, Nwifuru Charges Ebonyi Women

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has charged women in the State to as a matter of priority accord all the necessary respect to their husbands so that they can have strength and protect them and also monitor their daughters by redirecting them in order to make people to come and take them out of their hands very early.

He gave the charge during a church service to mark catholic women’s day celebration at Government house chapel Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital.

The Governor noted that the society is badly challenged because the mothers have refused to carry out their family responsibilities at the appointed time and stress the need for them to redirect and nurture their children very well for the good of the society.

According to him” you need to build confidence with your husbands, you need to make your husbands to trust you, be plain to your husbands. Don’t tell your husbands lies, no man likes woman that is lying. Our mothers should monitor their daughters because they are the ones destroying them, our mothers should think home because they are the ones taking care of our homes, redirect them so that people will come and take them out of your hands very early”

“The society is badly challenged because our mothers refused to their jobs. Even if you are living with thirty girls you have to take care of them very well. Our women are challenged seriously this period and we need to redirect our self and handle it so that we can succeed and men will continue to honor us”

He praised women in the State especially those in the position of authority for being exceptional and urged them to sustain the tempo in the interest of the State.

The first lady of the State Chief (Mrs) Mary Maudline Nwifuru expressed glad over the achievements of women in the State. She said that the mother’s day celebration would give women the opportunity to achieve the best for societal development. Mrs Nwifuru urged women to engage meaningfully into crops and livestocks farming to enhance food security in the State.

She commended Gov. Nwifuru for supporting and strengthening women to excel in the various disciplines in the society.

While congratulating Ebonyi women as they mark the women’s day, Mrs Nwifuru expressed hope that this year’s celebration would be a stepping stone for a greater achievements in the State and the Nation at large and promised that the women would never disappoint the State Governor Chief Francis Nwifuru but always be with him for the success of his adminstration.

The chaplain of Government house Rev. Fr. Jude Agama enjoined women to organize their homes by ensuring peaceful coexistence among people for a better opportunity.

The event featured cutting of cake, praise, worship and presentation of gift to Mrs Nwifuru.
