The family of Barr Kola-Ojo is grateful to everyone that played various roles to secure the release of the wife of the late Barr Taiwo Kola-Ojo and others that were in her company when they were kidnapped at Igbo Iffe, Ijumu LGA, Kogi State on January 25, 2021.

We want to thank in particular, friends, Ijumu Local and Kogi State Governments, political associates and family associates for their material and spiritual support during the six days of grueling emotional and physical torture in the den of their captives.

Coming just a year after the sudden and sad loss of Barr Kola Ojo, the family’s unhealed pain was refreshed, but with the massive sympathy and attention received from all and sundry the family was able to wade through the ordeal.

We appeal to security agents at all levels to undertake regular and pre-empitve patrols along the Kabba-Omuo Road and other blind spots that have become the hunting routes of kidnappers.

We also appeal that this issue should not be politicised as to who rescued the victims. It is safe to say that it was a collective effort by all concerned people across, social, spiritual and political interests. We pray for God’s protection over all.
