The coming of GYB into Kogi politics would have claimed my life and Hon Mohammed Awwal in Obajana town when a Dangote trailer almost crushed us. Till date we can’t explain how we escaped it but we knew it was God’s miracle.
That journey was the first of GYB move into Kogi West to meet with Okun people, the political group or bloc of Hon Sam Aro in APC.
Myself & Hon Awwal was among the four advanced team men along with the present Kogi State Deputy Governor.
With the present Governor’s driver, i was in Hon. Awwal’s car. Immediately we entered Obajana, the usual reckless Dangote drivers felt we have invaded their territory and as such he can take our lives but God said no.

Trust Nda Aaron, I consciously choose my words and I convinced them. It was afterwards that Governor Yahaya Bello came to meet with them two weeks later, and that marked the beginning of AYB to GYB movement in Okunland that have also put them into strong contention for 2023 to succeed him.
Moreso, this bloc was the group that gave GYB 70% of the delegates vote during August 29th 2015 Kogi State Governorship primary election , after Babatunde Irukera stepdown his bid.
This made their work more easier & Asiwaju’s younger brother the current Yagba East Chairman was among those Okun APC Bloc.
GYB as a man with conscience remembered good work, picked from among this bloc and made them the various administrators of the 5 Okun LGAs, & still made 4 out of them the current executive chairmen.
