… RT. HON. IDRIS GARBA TELLS INCOMING COUNCIL CHAIRMEN AND COUNCILLORS.
The speaker of the Jigaea state House of assembly,Rt.Hon. Idis Garba has urged the incoming chairmen and councillors at the just concluded council elections to reciprocates the kind gestures shown to them by the good people of Jigawa state. Hon. Idris who is representing the Jahun state constituency in the Jigawa state house of assembly, disclosed this to the media in an interview he granted shortly, after casting his vote at polling unit 17 in Jahun the council Headquarters.
Rt. Hon Idris further stated that, the massive turnout of people at the polls was a clear demonstration of love and support which is only payable by providing dividend of democracy and good governance,to the good people of the state.
The speaker commended the the electoral umpire (jisiec),for conducting a near perfect elections which accorded all political parties the opportunity to exercise their franchise,adding the peaceful atmosphere that pervaded the exercise has also confirmed the peaceful and harmonious coexistence that has characterized the state.
He applauded the state Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar for his purposeful and peoples oriented leadership in the governance of the state.
