In our lopsided society where many are constantly seeking for the next opportunity to score a cheap goal. One does not know what is the hidden motivation that *Mr. Peter Kolawole* and his faceless Okun writer of this highly seditious media campaign of calumny against the legendary *AnEbira People* of Central District of Kogi State with their curiously fabricated; politically machinated and outrightly seditious writeup which is shared on this platform.
However, as a very de-tribalised bonafide Ebira citizen and a Kogi State unification flag carrier—I condemn in strong terms the peddling of falsehood in order to rewrite history.
Much I join every other citizen of this country in outright condemnation of the ongoing barbarism, the criminalities, and the escalating insecurity fueled by a few misguided miscreants across the nation—I think it is wrong to narrow what is happening in Nigeria to a tribal debate.
The current conversation about crime cuts across ethnic and tribal boundaries.
There’s no single ethnic group in Nigeria who can claim to be totally devoid of criminals in the moulds of bandits, kidnappers, robbers, killers etc including *Okunland.*
Those criminals whose names are being paraded in the news media no doubt are *AnEbira* by birth BUT they are an infinitesimal proportion of the vast population of the upright and largely God-fearing *Ebira* people who are spread across nation in pursuit of humble livelihoods.
It is futile to want to generalize and to blackmail an entire people simply because of a few rotten bad eggs in a particular society.
The greatest falsehood in this crazy write-up is the claim that Islamist Jihadist religious bigots as *Yusuf, Shakau El Zaky-Zaky* and everyone and everything that is associated with Bokoharam, banditry, terrorism, robbery and Kidnapping emanated from the *Ebiraland.*
Numbers are just figures. It is not in dispute that *Okunland* parades the highest number of Professors and retired military leaders *BUT* the great question they should answer is how much development indices has *Okunland* got to show the world for all these high yield of text book Professors and paper tigers—Where are their research trajectories in Kogi State and Nigeria at large…!?!
We are the *Ebiras* and we do not empty vessels. We do not actually blame anyone who wish to capitalize on the sins of those few bastards to castigate a whole tribe for their individual sins.
This “lazy author” of professorial histology has simply justified the epithetical lessons of the hole in the wall that creates room for the wall geko to fester.
How else would the Okun make their hateful comparison of intellectual supremacy if the few handful of criminals of *Ebira* descent did not create the ugly hole in the historic wall of a very upright, God-fearing and hard working people?
Let the snail speed law of the land prevail quickly and swiftly so that all those deserving of criminal rectitude in those heinous crimes against humanity and God get their equitable rewards to stem the slide in our slow criminal justice system now so that the idle can turn their writing skills to better use for the people and society.
