Otunba Adeniyi Olayemi. So’mi Edumare, Kogi West Peoples Democratic Party Senatorial District Aspirant has joined other Muslim faithful in welcoming the month of Ramadan, the month of fasting and intense devotion for Muslims.
The Frontline Aspirant made his feelings known in a message to Muslims in Kogi West Senatorial District and all over the State, urged for prayers for the district that would enable the area remain peaceful and to enjoy all round development.
According to Otunba Adeniyi, the fasting period offers a unique opportunity to “ appreciate the needy and the have nots in the society.
“Faituful should seek greater personal discipline, which is necessary for the realization of a great district as envisioned by our founding fathers .”
He advised the Muslim elites to be moderate and not to be extravagant in spending while others face hunger and destitution, urging that they should care for their neighbours, the poor and the marginalised particularly in this period.
He also called for prayers for peace in the country and beyond, and for healing and harmony throughout Kogi East.
Otunba Adeniyi wished all Muslims a successful completion of the 30-day fasting period, prayed that the blessings of the Ramadan would manifest in the lives of people of the district…. Continue reading
