Ramadan: Kogi West Senator, Sen. Karimi Felicitates Muslim Umah, Calls For Peace For Nigeria

 

The Senator Representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sen Sunday Karimi has congratulated the entire people of Kogi West, the State and Nigeria Muslim Umah at large for witnessing the new month of Ramadan.

In a press statement, the Lawmaker described Ramadan as a very important month for Muslims across Kogi West in particular and the State at large.

Sen. Karimi noted that the holy month holds special significance in the Islamic lunar calendar. “Throughout this month, which is also called Ramzan, people abstain from worldly pleasures, participate in community service acts and consider this period a time of spiritual reflection.”

While stating that the rewards and spiritual blessings in the month of Ramadan cannot be quantified, Sen. Karimi noted that it equally provides opportunities for Muslims to right the wrongs in their lives.

He enjoined Muslims to use the holy month to pray fervently for leaders at all levels to succeed and pray for the State and the country in general to overcome its emerging economic and security challenges.

Going further, Sen. Karimi added: “May this Ramadan be a time of reflection, self-discipline, and spiritual growth for you. Ramadan Kareem!”

I want to encourage well-to-do individuals in the society to use the period to support the less-privileged ones among them to enable them to observe the fasting with ease and have a sense of belonging.
