As the Ramadan fast commences today, March 11, 2024, the
Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna, Member Representing Dekina Bassa Federal Constituency has called for unity urging the Muslim Ummah to pray for peace for the Country.
The goodwill message signed by the Lawmaker urged the Muslim Ummah and the entire people of his federal Constituency to utilise the sacred month for fervent prayers, to seek relief amid present economic hardships, and pray for peace, development and prosperity of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
He called for collective effort at finding new solutions to the security and socio-economic challenges facing the nation.
Hon. Gowon who also described the month as special and very significant among the Muslim communities hence the need to appreciate God and identify with each other for witnessing the holy month, expressed confidence that with prayers the country will overcome it challenges.
He also called on individuals in the society to use the period of Ramadan to support the less privileged ones among them to enable them to observe the fasting with ease as to have a sense of belonging.
He congratulated the Muslim communities in the Constituency and beyond wishing them a successful 2024 Ramadan fast with abundant blessings.
