Publisher Endorses 2023 RATTAWU Week of Creativity in Kogi, says Union remains indispensable.


 

The Publisher, Editor in Chief, The Nigerian Post Newspaper Abu Michael, has signed up to this year’s RATTAWU week, insisting that the Union remains indispensable.

Mr. Abu made the disclosure today when he received in audience Comr. Haruna Isah Yakubu RATTAWU Chairman Kogi state Council.

 

The Publisher promised to support the week through platforms that would create awareness, insisting that the place of RATTAWU cannot be over emphasised.

Mr. Abu described RATTAWU Kogi as having unmatched accomplishments, urged for sustainability using the 2023 week.

Mr. Abu threw his support for this year’s RATTAWU week slated to start from tomorrow Sunday, described RATTAWU’s role in nation building and the media as indispensable.

Comr. Haruna Isah Yakubu, Chairman, RATTAWU Kogi State Council who also doubles as an Assistant Director with Kogi State Council for Arts and Culture.

RATTAWU WEEK OF CREATIVITY is an annual festival organized by the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Worker’s union of Nigeria (RATTAWU).

The week aims to bring Members of the Union together as media workers to review their roles and functions in Good Governance, Social, Political, Economic State of National Development.

The theme for this year’s festival is MEDIA, ARTS AND CULTURE AS PANACEA FOR NATION BUILDING AND GOOD GOVERNANCE.

The program will begin from 9th October with a church service on Sunday, followed with q carnival on Monday.

Other activities lined up for the week includes visit to Heads of Kogi broadcasting cooperation, NTA And Kogi state Council for Arts and culture.

Similarly, the members will pay a courtesy visit to the Police Commissioner Kogi State, Commandant, Civil defense Kogi state, Kogi State Sector commander of Road Safety corps.

Members are also as part of the week’s event tour projects by the Kogi State Government and end it with having an audience with the Governor of Kogi state. The Grand Finale and award night would mark the end of the week long event.

Mr. Abu lauded the unprecedented roles of RATTAWU, pointing out that they have remained indispensable in the propagating of government programs and policies.

He assured the members of RATTAWU of all the necessary support that would make the week eventful.

In his remarks, Comr. Haruna Isah Yakubu, Chairman, RATTAWU Kogi State Council said the week has been packaged to add value to governance, inform and entertain the citizens.

The State Chairman explained that some prominent personalities have been identified to be honoured with award at the Grand finale of the RATTAWU week.
