Project Coordinator, Kogi ACReSAL pays surprise visit to Project Sites…


 

In a bid to ensure that Contractors engaged for the provision of solar powered Boreholes and Streetlights are working in tandem with agreed terms of reference, the Project Coordinator, Kogi State ACReSAL, Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto – OON and her Team, embarked on an unannounced inspection tour of some Sites in the State.

 

The Sites visited are:
1. Idogido Otutu, Okene LGA
2. Karaworo, Adavi LGA
3. Ebogogo, Adavi LGA
4. Osikoyi Obeiba, Okehi LGA
5. Oboroke Uvêtê, Okehi LGA

 

Reacting to the level of work done on the Sites visited, the Project Coordinator expressed satisfaction with the quality of work, but encouraged the Contractor to increase the pace of work, as time is of the essence. She also advised the Contractor to ensure that the quality of work is sustained, as the State Government, would not hesitate to penalize any Contractor found to be cutting corners.

She reminded the Contractor that the people friendly Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, CON is doing everything humanly possible, through the instrumentality of Kogi ACReSAL to ensure that the poorest of the poor have access to potable 🚰, and would therefore not be happy with erring Contractors.

 

The people of the Communities of intervention were full of joy, and assured the Project Coordinator that they would take ownership of the Project as admonished by the PC.

Below is a breakdown of beneficiaries by Community:

– Otutu…. 1000 beneficiaries
– Ikarawuro …. (initially sourced water from a stream). About 2000 beneficiaries
– Ebogogo (Anyoke)
3000 beneficiaries.
– Isikoyi 4000 beneficiaries, who depend solely on wells as their
source water.
– Oboreke (Ozu Uvette)
They buy water from 3km away –
3500 beneficiaries…
This intervention, is indeed worth celebrating!!!
