President Elect, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu meets APC Senators, Reps elect


 

The president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, met with the newly elected members of the National Assembly at Aso Rock in Abuja on Monday, March 13, 2023.

The meeting was attended by senators-elect and representatives-elect on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The vice president-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima, and other APC chieftains were also present at the important meeting.

 

 

According to the data released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) a few days ago, the APC won the majority of seats in the Senate and House of Representatives. This means that the party will form the leadership of the 10th National Assembly.

According to reports, the meeting held at Aso Rock was about the zoning arrangements for the leadership of the national assembly. Some of the newly elected lawmakers have started lobbying for the positions of Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives.

However, the party hasn’t revealed the outcome of the meeting at the time of this report.
