PDP, Others Suffer Major Blow In Omala As Hundreds Dump Party For APC


 

The camp of the rulling All Progressives Congress, APC in Omala Local Government Area continue to swell as the party received new entrants from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP) and other political parties into her fold.

In a brief ceremony that held at the party’s (APC) local government Secretariat in Abejukolo, the Executive Chairman of Omala Local Government Council, Hon. Chief (Alh) Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh expressed delight and applauded the decision of the new members of APC, assuring them that the party will treat them equally, fairly and justly, adding that they are on the winning side.

In their separate remarks, they said with total conviction, they are moving to APC where the light is, leaving the PDP whose reign has since gone. They declared their readiness to win with APC by help delivering all candidates come 2023.

 

 

A core member of the PDP, from Abejukolo, Comrade Saleh Alih (Dem Mama), Vice-chairman of Ogodu PDP axis, Mr. Mohammed Akubo a.k.a (Akus) along with other Executives of the party, Labour Party Youth Leader from Oji-Aji ward, Mr. Daniel Adou were among the defectors.

 

On hand to receive the defectors are the Vice Chairman of the local government, Hon. Mrs. Ele-Ojo Faruna, Local Government Party Chairman, Hon. Shehu Alih, SSA to Kogi State Governor on Youth Empowerment (Kogi East), Hon. Matthew Ochada, Supervisory Councillor For Education, Hon. Daniel Zekeri, Former APC Local Government Chairman, Hon. Danjuma Baba, Former APC local government Youth Leader, Hon. Edibo Mark Ameh and the current Youth Leader, Atabo Ocheje Bishop, among other Excos of the party.

Ward and zonal decamping ceremony that will receive thousands into APC is billed to hold in the area in coming days.
