PDP, LP, APGA Collapse Structures Into APC In Ebonyi
–As Anyim, Ogba, Edon Others Declare Support For Tinubu, Nwifuru’s Administration

The three Major opposition Political parties in Ebonyi State including peoples democratic party (PDP), Labour Party (LP) and All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) have collapsed its structures into the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the State.
The leaders of the three political parties collapsed their parties and joined APC during the grand finale of Local Government APC campaign rally at Pa Ngele Oruta Township stadium in Abakaliki, the State capital.
Some of the leaders of the political parties included the former Senate President Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, former Labour Party Gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 general election Arch. Edward Nkwegu, former Senator that represented Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone at the National Assembly Senator Obinna Ogba, APGA house Assembly Candidate for Ikwo South Constituency Hon. Jeremiah Oforma, Ambassador Lawrence Nwuruku and thousands of supporters from the three different political parties.
According to the leaders of the political parties, their defection into APC were because of the leadership ingenuity of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru which has regard for stakeholders, transformation of the State within one year in office and bringing of peace and unity in the State and promised their unfliching supports to Governor Nwifuru and President Tinubu’s led adminstrations.
Handing over APC flag to the defectors, the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC Abdulahi Umar Ganduje commended the defectors for joining APC and assured them of equal political party patronage at the center.
The APC national Chairman extolled Governor Nwifuru for the peace and unity in the State under his administration which according to him facilitated the massive exodus of stakeholders in other political parties into APC, describing it as a sign of continuity and called on other States in the South East zone to emulate from Ebonyi State in order to be connected in the National politics.
The Governor of Ebonyi State Chief Francis Nwifuru while congratulating the defectors for their boldness to join APC, assured them of level playground and always carry them along in the scheme of things as well ensure that their interest are well protected in the party.
However, the Governor while enumerating some his achievements so far in the office, commended APC National leadership for their significant roles towards the growth and progress of the party in the Country.
On their parts, the National Chairman of the progressive Governors forum and Governor of Imo State Senator Hope Uzodinma and the former Governor of Ebonyi State and Minister of Works Engr. David Umahi congratulated Governor Nwifuru and entire Ebonyi people on the forthcoming Local government and councilorship elections in the State, saying that Governor Nwifuru has consolidated on the dreams of greater Ebonyi State and thanked him for taking APC for the next level in the State and solicited support for President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.
Umahi particularly reiterated his promise of continued support to Governor Nwifuru’s led adminstration in the State.
The APC chairman in Ebonyi State Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha noted that Ebonyi State is running one party system under APC and called for massive votes for APC come 20th July, 2024 local government and ward councilorship elections in order the party to record landslide victory at the polls, adding that he would leave no stone unturned towards ensuring that there would be no more opposition party by 2027.
The former Commissioner for local Government and chieftaincy matters Chief Donatus Njoku remarked that the State Governor Chief Francis Nwifuru has connected the State to National grid and enjoined all and sundry to support him to take the State to the enviable height.
In an interview, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Rice Mill Hon. Abel Uzodinma Nwozaka hinted that Governor Nwifuru’s led adminstration has engendered an unprecedented Development and people oriented leadership in the State and urged Ebonyi people to vote massively to all the APC candidates in the forthcoming local government and councilorship elections to enable them emerge victory.
