PAAU QUALIFIES FOR FINAL OF HIGHER INSTITUTION FOOTBALL LEAGUE


 

– Pips UNILORIN 1-0

The Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, football team, the Steelers, have qualified for the final of the 2022 Higher Institution Football League (HIFL).

 

In the semi-final match played in Minna on Saturday, PAAU defeated UNILORIN football team 1-0 to qualify for the final coming up in Lagos on 24th of this month.

PAAU will take on Delta State University, Abraka, football team in the final.

Earlier in the quarter final played on Thursday, PAAU defeated the Bayero University, Kano, football team 4-3 on penalty shoot out after the match ended 2-2 in the regulation time.

PAAU had also defeated Federal University of Technology, Minna, 3-2 aggregate in the preliminary round.

The first leg played in Minna ended 2-2, while PAAU won the reversed fixture in Anyigba, 1- 0.
