PAAU fully prepared for NUC’s accreditation visit, parades rich reservoir of academic, qualified manpower

The Management of Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba has assured that the exponential growth witnessed in the University under the capable leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Marietu Tenuche to deliver quality education will be sustained.

The Management of PAAU Anyigba made the disclosure as the National University Commission NUC is set to begin accreditation of courses in the institution from Next week Monday.

A letter from the NUC, signed by Engr. Abraham Chundusa, Acting Director of Accreditation for the Executive Secretary, had rescheduled the accreditation to November 21, apologized for the inconvenience the postponement may have caused the affected Universities.

The Management said the commitment of the University to academic excellence will never be compromised pointing out that the scheduled NUC accreditation visit is geared towards ensuring the continued quality of programmes that PAAU Anyigba is known for.

While pointing out that the University is not new to the visit by the NUC, PAAU management said the programme accreditation which is a routine is only crucial for the continued growth of it academic programs adding that PAAU is fully prepared for the upcoming NUC visit.

The University Management in a statement issued by the Public Relations officer, Rev. Fr. Damian Amana, described the report by Mr. Austin Okai and published in Observer Times as false and misleading, pointing out that the NUC visit to the University that was postponed by a week was at the instance of the Commission.

The Management, reacting to a mischievous report by Mr. Austin Okai, who alleged that NUC suspended its accreditation visit to PAAU Anyigba for unfounded reasons of unavailable manpower, declared such a statement false.

The University in its statement, however, described the allegation as another false alarm, emanating from the pit of hell, to insinuate that PAAU, Anyigba relies on NYSC members to lecture in the University as very low thinking of a pedestrian style critic

For the record, the PAAU Anyigba University not only boost of a rich reservoir of qualified lecturers and academic manpower that have made it one of the State University’s to be reckoned with in the country. The PAAU Anyigba has over the years, particularly under the leadership of Prof. Marietu Tenuche as Vice Chancellor, made the University not just an institution and center of learning, but a foundation for intellectual and innovative future.

These claims are evident in the university’s rankings, the numerous laurels its scholars have garnered nationally and internationally, and the exceptional achievements of PAAU Anyigba’s faculty in research and various fields. The impressive accomplishments of its lecturers underscore the university’s wealth of skilled human resources and academic expertise.

Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, is not only renowned for its highly qualified faculty and robust academic expertise, which have positioned it among the leading state universities in Nigeria; it has also, especially under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Professor Marietu Tenuche, evolved into a true centre of learning. Over the years, PAAU has become a foundational institution fostering intellectual growth and innovation, preparing students for a future rich in knowledge and creativity.

Pointing out that PAAU is committed to establishing a culture of academic excellence driven by its qualified personnel—a key factor in the university’s growth and development—the Institution urges detractors and their sponsors to reconsider their actions. Attempts to distract the current administration from fulfilling its mandate have been uncovered and are bound to fail.

The goals of PAAU under the current Vice-Chancellor, to optimally mobilise all the resources available, physical and intangible, especially the strategic location of the University to accelerate the growth and development of the State will not be compromised.

The PAAU Anyigba will therefore continue to sustain it values and principles that have shaped and equipped students with academic knowledge as well as to also build in them a foundation of integrity, character and moral excellence.

The PAAU Anyigba is proud to have made significant progress in academic programmes, infrastructure, and research under the current Vice Chancellor and we make bold to say that the University is steadily growing into a globally competitive institution, largely due to the dedication and vision of the University Management, Staff, and Students under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor.

With a leadership that is focused on consolidating the edge it has made in providing functional and unhindered education with a view to ensuring that graduates become successful entrepreneurs in diverse sectors of the nation’s economy, the leadership of the present Vice Chancellor is therefore fully committed to building a global institution guided only by excellence, merit and competitiveness.

We, therefore, urge the public to disregard the unfounded insinuations in an unverified report intended to sow fear within the University community. NUC accreditation at Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba will commence from next Monday. PAAU with a culture of excellence has always been prepared for accreditations.

Signed.
Rev. Fr. Damian Amana,
Public Relations officer, PAAU, Anyigba.
