Outright robbery of the public by filling stations along Jaiz Bank Lokoja, Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission is Culpable.
The need for Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, formerly the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), in Kogi State to rise to the occasion has become expedient.
Recalled that filling stations in the State capital now sale premium motor spirit for between N1090 to N1200.
What is however painful is the outright robbery of the discerning public by filling stations along Jaiz Bank, beside GSM village.
The two filling stations located along that corridor have become notorious over the years, but it is worrisome that with the excruciating pain inflicted on Nigerians by reason of the increase on fuel by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, the outright wickedness displayed by the two filling stations along Jaiz Bank call to question the competence and control of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission in the State.
Without mincing words, there is a conniavance, as the Commission looks the other way, while Kogites are ripped off their hard earned money.
In the two filling stations along the mentioned corridor, a three liter fuel sales for a litre.
The Commission must therefore rise to save it failed face as they are culprit in the robbery of Kogites.
