So’mi Edumare, former Kogi West People’s Democratic Party Senatorial District Aspirant has cleared the air on his purported endorsement of Sen. Dino Melaye for Governor of the State, described the rumour as a figment of the imagination of mischief makers.
Otunba Adeniyi in a statement issued to Newsmen today said he has since the early hours of today Wednesday been inaundated by several calls from persons alledging that he has endorsed former Sen. Dino Melaye for Governor.
While Otunba Adeniyi disclosed that his former Director General Campaign, Prince Hon Jambright Sumonu did informed him that he invited and will be receiving Sen. Melaye in his residence, he disclosed that the meeting between the duo was not in any way connected to Kogi Governorship election.
While pointing out that the meeting could have been in connection with the Alhaji Abubakar Atiku’s presidency, Otunba Adeniyi distanced himself from any purported endorsement as is being insinuated, described the Kogi State Governorship Project as one that is still far for which he and many rightfully qualified citizens would make their position known when the time comes.
The former Senatorial District Aspirant who was the toast of the Youths and women in the Senatorial District, urged his supporters to disregard any rumour regarding any purported endorsement, assured that when the time comes on the Kogi Governorship, he would make himself available in participation and in the direction for which the people should go.
Otunba Adeniyi urged his supporters and those who showed concerned through calls to remain calm, disregard the insinuation, asked citizens to go get registered and collect their PVCs as that is the major priority now, described the PDP as rightly positioned to win in 2023 and to rescue the country and Kogi State from abject poverty and maladministration.
