Dear Kogi State working committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the scouting for who deputize Alhaji Ahmed Ododo Usman continues, I am sincerely driven with the interest of better and NewKogi to make an appeal to you ALL – and also expect that you nominate someone from Kogi Eastern Senatorial district who has proven records of public service, someone who is celebrated across the 21 Local Government of Kogi State, someone Loyal to the system and with value addition and someone who has demonstrated strength, commitments and dedication to work.
Without any oita of bias and by opinion sampling, I made bold to say, Chief Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman has distinguished himself in various areas of endeavors as a steadily-rising administrator and dedicated academic with acumen in excellence. These qualities have attracted the attention of individuals and groups across sectors to have at different times honoured our distinguished Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman as marks of recognition and encouragement.
As Rector, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman has so far received over Sixty (70) awards and recognition and still counting in just 30 months. In fact, the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), Kogi State Chapter honored him with an award in recognition of his tremendous contributions to the rapid development and transformation in the education sector.
His acceptance is, no doubt, a testament to his vast ideological concepts as a proponent of good governance, administrative expertise, and driver of human empowerment initiatives reflecting across the board.
Truth must be told! if Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo must wins seamlessly and overwhelmingly from the east, then Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman should be considered as his running mate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial election slated for November 11, 2023. He has got acceptance from amongst the 21 Local Government in Kogi State.
Religion is the opinion of the masses as posited by Karl Marx, so let no one be brainwashed by the Muslim-Muslim ticket. It’s necessary to understand that the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (see, section 10) does not consider any state to be a religious state. It’s therefore pertinent to consider performance and capacity above religious sentiments.
Whoever knows or has crossed path with Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman will attest to his detribalised nature and as a religious and tribal narcissist.
Without prejudice, the combination of Usman Ododo and Usman Ogbo will, no doubt, build and consolidate on the already established blueprints and legacy of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, devoid of religious and parochial ethnic sentiments.
It’s Kogi First. I recommend Usman Ododo and Usman Ogbo Joint ticket.
