ONU ABOCHO CALLS FOR TRUE RECONCILIATION AND FORGIVENESS


 

 

Traditional rulers in the Country have been urged to ensure true reconciliation and forgiveness among their subjects towards promoting unity and development.

The Onu Abocho in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, Chief Jonah Idris Okai made the call at Abocho after his beading by the Attah Igala, His Majesty, Matthew Alaji Opaluwa.

 

Chief Jonah who explained that true reconciliation was needed in all communities, noted that there cannot be peace and unity in an atmosphere of rancour and acrimony.

He admonished his co contenders to the seat to bury their differences and support him to move the area forward.

 

Chief Jonah expressed appreciation to the Attah Igala and Dekina Area traditional council for their cooperation and appealed to them to do more in order to move traditional institution to greater heights.

 

Borehole commissioning.

While inaugurating a borehole initiated by the Onu Abocho, the Ejeh Dekina, Alhaji Usman Obaje said leadership is ordained by God hence everyone must come together for a greater Biraidu District.

Alhaji Usman Obaje described the inauguration of the borehole to commemorate the day as worthwhile and urged the Onu Abocho to sustain his good works.

The event was witnessed by other traditional rulers, including the Ogohi Onu Anyigba, Alhaji Shaibu Okolo, the Obicha of Ogbabede among others.

The Onu Abocho was earlier received by thousands of Biraidu sons and daughters, both at home and in diaspora, while various traditional groups entertained the audience.
