Kogi State JNI has promised continuous prayers for Allah to give the best to the people of Kogi State as Governor as only Him bestows power.
The Chairman of JNI in the state, Ambassador Usman Bello made the promise while receiving the Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the State, Senator Dino Melaye in Lokoja today.
Ambassador Bello said as a religious body, JNI can only offer prayers but will not be partisan urging the Governorship Candidate to ensure peace before, during and after the election.
He used the opportunity to pay glowing tribute to Governor Yahaya Bello whom he noted carried religious leaders along adequately and urged Senator Dino to emulate him if given the opportunity to Govern the State.
Responding, Senator Dino said he came to JNI Secretariat to solicit for prayer towards his ambition to become Governor as he was mindful of non partisan nature of JNI.
He promised to be a Good fearing Governor if his prayers are answered.
Present at the courtesy visit was the State Secretary of JNI, Alhaji Isa Adeboye, other Exco Members you of JNI, representatives of League of Imams, JIBWIS and FOMWAN.
