Life is transitory that is everything about life disappears with time. When you start getting old they are responsibilities attached and you have to accept them. These responsibilities include taking note of the kinds of food you eat, engaging in physical activities, this is geared towards making you live long.

Once you clock 40 years of age they are some foods you need to do away with, this is because consuming these foods prones your health to the risk of diseases and can even cause the bad state of your health to degenerate. As you age your strength begins to decrease, that is you will no longer have the kind of strength you had during your youthful age, so you need to maintain good health, eat proper diet, engage in physical exercise, for you to live in a healthy condition.

 

 

You get easily prone to cancer, stroke, diabetes, heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, bad cholesterol, prostate problems, arthritis, etc as you age and that is the more reason you should be careful with the kind of food you consume. Stop consuming some food when you clock 40 years of age will go a long way in ensuring for a better health.

Below are 10 things you need not to consuming regularly once you clock 40 years and above:

1.   Doughnuts

 

 

Once you clock 40 years of age and above, your doughnut consumption should cease. This is because doughnuts are produced from unhealthy trans fat and white flour which has been related to heart disease. Doughnuts also contains acryl amide which is unhealthy for the body system.

2.  Whole milk and dairy products

 

 

Whole milk is unhealthy for your health as you clock 40 years. Your insulin resistance get worsen as you consume them, it leads to heart disease and prone men to the risk of prostate cancer.

3.  Cigarettes

 

 

Excess smoking of tobacco, cigarettes, India hemp, coccaine, marijuana, etc causes harm to the kidney and other vital organs of the body. Once you clock 40 years of age and above it becomes imperative for you to reduce or totally stop smoking as it is prone your lungs, kidneys and other vital organs of your body to disease.

4.  French fries

 

 

Too much fried foods intake when one clocks 40 years and above can make unhealthy oil to block your arteries. This is because fried foods such as french flies, chips, etc contains acryl amide which makes them harmful to the body. The calories present in fried foods can also lead to an increase in your weight and can lead to other diseases.

5.  White bread products

 

 

White bread and other products made from flour such as pasta, crackers and rolls can lead to inflammation in the body. There can cause arthritis to degenerate and also increase your blood sugar level. Potassium bromated present in bread is very dangerous to the cells of human. In order to avoid these diseases you can alternate white bread with whole grain and high fiber foods. Processed flour products can result into bad cholesterol and also cause heart disease.

6.  Salt

 

 

Salt is a strong solvent and as such too much intake of it is very bad for the health especially the aged people due to the level of sodium it contains. Too much salt makes your blood pressure to rise which can translate into heart disease, stroke, liver disease and kidney stone.

 

7.  Excess alcohol

 

 

Alcohol should be consumed in a moderate amount. Too much consumption of alcohol endangers the vital organs of your body. Alcohol contains high amount of ethanol which can result into kidney disease and liver cirrhosis. Excess alcohol intake enlarges the blood vessels in the skin, cause wrinkles and facial line in ageing people.

8.  Fruit juice

 

 

Fruit juice is very essential for the body but it shouldn’t be consumed excessively. Once you clock the age of 40 and above fruit juice consumption becomes unhealthy for you.

Fruit juice contains alot of sugar and can increase your blood sugar level. The fiber content in fruit juice is usually removed in the course of processing the juice and this decreases fruit juice health importance to the body system.

9.  Beef

 

 

Red meats can cause cardiovascular diseases, bad cholesterol and diabetes. When red meats are prepared in a high temperature it can lead to prostate cancer as it becomes carcinogenic.

10.  Bacon and sausage

 

 

Once you clock 40 years of age and above, stop the excessive consumption of cured meats like sausages and bacon. Consuming them in excess can lead to arthritis in the male gender, inflammation, increase in blood pressure, heart disease as it contains high amount of saturated fat.

To live healthily at your old age avoid the regular or excessive intake of these things as they are not beneficial to your health instead they cause great harm to your body system.
