On October 1st Ace Broadcaster & pioneer Sammy Ianky Erero Bows Out from Kogi; Returns home to Delta
The broadcasting and entertainment community in Kogi state is set to celebrate and honour Sammy Ianky Erero, the pioneering voice of Radio Kogi FM 94.1 MHz who has announced his departure from the station & Kogi state marking the end of an era in Kogi’s broadcasting & entertainment history.
It is on record that the ace broadcaster was the first African voice when the Kogi state FM radio 94.1mhz went on air in 1997.
After dedicating several years to entertaining and informing the Kogi community, Sammy has decided to return to his home state of Delta.
During his tenure at Radio Kogi, Sammy played a pivotal role in shaping the station’s identity and connecting with listeners through his engaging programs.
His contributions to the station’s growth and popularity will be deeply missed.
The send off event that is scheduled to hold by 10am at Lokoja children’s amusement park on Independence Day (October 1st) shall involve the presentation of awards to broadcast and entertainment personalities all over Nigeria.
The distinguished broadcaster and event compere Sammy Ianky Erero: in a statement said ;
”I am grateful for the opportunity to have served the Kogi community through Radio Kogi FM 94.1 MHz. I appreciate the support and love I’ve received from listeners, and I’m excited for the new chapter ahead in my home state Delta.
