It was a colourful and glamorous event today 28th December, 2020, as Commander Duro Jerry Omodara (Rtd) bagged the prestigious award of OGO OKUN 2020 Award for his invaluable contributions to the upliftment of Okun Nation in his current assignment as the State Security Adviser to Kogi State Government.
The award was presented by Hon. Chief TJ Faniyi, former member representing Yagba Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, on behalf of the organizers. While presenting the award, Hon. TJ Faniyi recognized the impact of the State Security Adviser to sustain peace in Okun Land and Kogi State in general.
While responding, Comdr. Omodara appreciated the great initiatives of the organizers for counting him worthy as part of the awardees. He promised to continue to work immensely for the security of lives and properties of the Okun people and Kogi State. He dedicated the Award to His Excellency, Alh Yahaya Bello who provided him the opportunity to serve as the State Security Adviser.
