Ohere Commends SIEC, Applauds leadership quality of Gov. Yahaya Bello for Adherence to Democratic Principles.


 

The Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission has been applauded for its transparency and for following due process towards the preparations leading to the conduct of the tomorrow’s Local Government Election.

Similarly, Gov. Yahaya Bello has also been praised for providing an unbiased platform and environment for all political parties to campaign and produce candidates for the forthcoming Local Government Election.

The Kogi State Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr. Abubakar Ohere, gave the Commendation in a chat with Newsmen, said the rich preparation displayed by KOSIEC is a template worthy of a National election, also lauded the Governor for enhancing security all through the electioneering process.

Engr. Ohere said following the world class preparation of SIEC and the efforts of Gov. Bello in creating an enabling environment for political activities to thrive peaceful in the State, said what is expected from the people is to only reciprocate the kind gesture by being peaceful during and after the election.

Engr. Ohere expressed optimism of a peaceful Election devoid of rancour, expressed confidence of an overwhelming victory for the APC in the local government election, appealed to the people to turnout in there numbers.

The Commissioner said he’s hanging his optimism of an overwhelming victory on the fact that the APC has over the last four years won all Elections held in the State, assured that having impacted the grassroots positively by Gov. Bello, victory is assured for the APC.

He described Gov. Yahaya Bello’s style of Leadership, a style that is all encompassing, concerned with growth and development of the State, as well as the well being of the people as reasons why the APC is doing well in the State and would continue to win elections held in the State.
