OGUGU WARD 2 ENDORSES HON. SAMUEL AKPAKWU AS THE SDP VICE CHAIRMANSHIP CANDIDATE FOR THE OCTOBER 19th 2024 LGA ELECTION IN KOGI STATE.
The adoption took place in a meeting of the EXCO on 9th August 2024 at Ofante headquarters of ward 2.
The adoption followed the ratification of Barr Abdumalik Suleiman Babanawa by the stake holders of SDP on 8/8/2024 in a meeting at Okpo the hqtrs of Olamaboro LGA Kogi State.
The choice of Hon Samuel Akpakwu candidature was borne out of his competency, experience,and records of active participation in ward 2 politics and most especially roles played during MUri agenda culminating into being an accredited poling agent of the SDP in his poling unit and leading to the victory of SDP in the polling unit despite all odds of oppositions of other political parties.
The party chairman ward 2 Hon John Idoko in his speech as a father to all, enjoined the party stake holders and SDP in Ogugu wards 1 and 3 to key into the endorsement to support , canvas, and mobilize for the candidature of Hon Samuel Akpakwu.
The PRO in his speech called on the party members to support the grass root and popular candidate so endorsed.
Hon Samuel Akpakwu in his speech thanked the EXCO and party members for acknowledging his good records. He further stated that his ambition abnitio is vice chairmanship position and has not played any handy panky game or hide and seek game to over lap any one rather has the tenacity for the position of Vice. He emphasized his resolve to up hold honesty, loyalty, and probity to the party as he would put his experiences together and as a journalist to parley with Barr. Abdumalik Suleiman Babanawa to take Olamaboro LGA to the next level of both human and infrastructural development, God willing.
