The recent incessant attacks by terrorists brandishing as marauders within Oganenigwu axis of Dekina LGC in KOGI state has drawn the attention of the Big Tent Deputy National Director, National Expansion Frontier Directorate, Comrade Sunday Bala Oma
In a World press conference organized in Abuja at the weekend, and made available to newsmen. Bala Oma expressed his displeasure over the consistent attacks by Fulani terrorists, who have continuously attacked the good people of Dekina Local government council with reckless abandon.
In his words “I find it difficult to believe that the peaceful people of Oganenigwu are being attacked and no one is saying anything. Worst of all, the government of KOGI state whose primary responsibility is to protect lives and properties have paid deaf ears to this continuous attacks against innocent citizens. Rather, they are busy with campaigns for a governorship election they have no idea, if they will be alive to witness”.
We have House of Assembly Members, National Assembly representatives as well as Local government Council chairman. The question is, where are they? Why has their voices become lost in a situation that need them to draw the attention of both the State and Federal Governments? Or are they also accomplice of these terrorists? Are they waiting for a reprisal before they do the needful?
If nothing is done in 24hrs, we will have no option but to ask our people to defend themselves, since the government and their leaders have failed to protect them.
Oma concluded by calling on the Inspector General of Police and the Defense hierarchy, led by Gen. Irabo to wade in and safe the situation, since we have no hope in the APC led State Government who have misplaced priority at this critical time of our national life.
