On behalf of management and staff of Kogi State Emergency Management Agency (KOSEMA), I heartily and sincerely congratulate the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on the momentous occasion of his one year in office.
Our industrious and quintessential Governor, you have shown dynamism, determination, efficiency and capacity in the way you have piloted the affairs of our dear state so far.
Your purposeful leadership and genuine commitment in advancing NEW DIRECTION PROJECT have made this administration a model and a reference point in Kogi State and by extension in the country.
Your Excellency, Under your pragmatic leadership, KOSEMA has been repositioned to discharge effective service delivery in disaster management. Here in the SEMA, we say thank you for the various support that SEMA has received, especially during the 2024 flood disaster. The state government put proactive mitigation plans and response strategies in place that helped to minimize the impacts of flood on the victims and the communities. In addition, State government through SEMA, distributed various relief materials to victims of various disasters while the victims of Lokoja GSM Village fire disaster got financial support that sparked hope and confidence of the victims. We pledged our continued support and undiluted loyalty to you, and we shall work harder to add value and ensure effective management of Disasters in Kogi State.
May I also use this medium to heartily felicitate with Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Elder Joel Oyibo Salifu, the State Executive members, Legislative arms, all political appointees as well as the leadership of our great party the APC and the good people of Kogi State for this historic celebration.
My earnest prayer is that God grants you more good health, greater wisdom and renewed vigour to move the State forward.
