By joshua ODODO BASSA YOUTHS 4+4 HONORS GOV. ODODO WITH AWARD OF EXCELLENCE AS “MOST YOUTH-FRIENDLY GOVERNOR SINCE THE CREATION OF KOGI STATE”
The ODODO Bassa Youths 4+4 yesterday presented an Award of Excellence to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State and the Chief Servant of the State, in recognition of his outstanding commitment to youth inclusion, empowerment, and good governance.
The award was presented to Gov. Ododo by the Coordinator of the group, Comr. Victor MD Kpanaki, during the OJN 7th Annual Symposium held at the Kay Galaxy Event Center, Lokoja.
In conferring the honor, ODODO Bassa Youths 4+4 described Governor Ododo as the “Most Youth-Friendly Governor Since the Inception of Kogi State.”
The group noted that the Governor’s administration has set a new benchmark in youth engagement through deliberate policies that prioritize young people in governance, job creation, skills development, and grassroots participation.
According to the Coordinator, Comr. Kpanaki, “Your Excellency, this award is a testament to your visionary leadership, accessibility, and unwavering belief in the capacity of young people to lead. Under your administration, youth are no longer just the leaders of tomorrow — they are partners in governance today.
From the payment of the N72,000 minimum wage, to the restoration of promotions with cash backing, prompt payment of salaries, and inclusion of young, competent Kogites in strategic positions, you have proven that governance can be both purposeful and people-centered.
Your investment in education, health, security, and infrastructure has also created an enabling environment where young people can thrive. For these and many more reasons, we proudly celebrate you as a youth-friendly, responsive, and transformational leader.”
The ODODO Bassa Youths 4+4 further pledged their unalloyed support to the administration and promised to continue mobilizing youths across Bassa Local Government and beyond to key into the developmental agenda of the Ododo administration.
The event was attended by stakeholders, youth leaders, and dignitaries from across the state.
