
NYCN National Election: How Amb. Nihi’s Experience, Bridge of Friendship, Gov. Ododo’s Political Will Turned Tide For Comr. Babangida Onimisi.

Amb. Oladele John Nihi’s, is Special Adviser on Youth and Students Affairs and doubles as Founder, OJN Foundation.
His achievements or contributions, particularly in relation to Youth Empowerment and leadership in Kogi State was brought to bear recently at the just concluded election held to produce the National President of the NYCN held in Abuja.
The NYCN National election May have come and gone, but the Political will displayed by Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, standing for 48 hours, meeting with youths across the country, led to the victory of Comr. Babangida Onimisi, will linger for a long time to Come.
The NYCN election for the first time, proved book makers wrong, saw the emergence of Comr. Babangida who narrowly won with a slim margin of 14 votes will remain indelible.
While the victory of Comr. Babangida is still being savoured, the experience, bridge of relationship built over the years as displayed by Comr. Nihi during the election, called to mind his immense contributions.
This is even as for the first time, the Unity of purpose displayed by Kogi delegates will for long be remembered. Kogi State under Gov Ododo, has once again positively proven that with collaboration, results can be achieved.
Nihi’s impact on youth development over the years can be seen in his commitment to creating opportunities for young people to acquire skills, access education, and become self-reliant.
His initiatives in helping to swing victory for Babangida Onimisi as President of NYCN have been praised by government officials, students, and community leaders. From all indication, Amb. Nihi has the potentials to make a lasting difference in the lives of many young Nigerians.
Recently, Nihi emerged the face of Youths in Kogi State when he won the Youth Ambassador award at the just concluded the Nigerian Post Newspaper annual Public Lecture, where he was described as the face of useful and resourceful Kogi Youths.
Nihi’s foundation or his work in Kogi State includes;
-Youth Empowerment: Nihi launched the Okun Youth Alliance Movement (OYA Movement) to empower Okun youths, focusing on sensitization, reorientation, empowerment, and engagement.
– Leadership Roles: He serves as the Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi State on Youth and Student Matters and Vice President of the Pan-African Youth Union, West Africa.
-Advocacy: Nihi advocates for youth development, education, and community engagement, utilizing platforms like the Oladele John Nihi (OJN) Annual Symposium to impact young lives.
-Community Service: He recognizes and appreciates individuals like Hajia Hassana Onize Yakubu for their humanitarian efforts, encouraging others to follow her example.
Nihi’s work seems centered around empowering youths and promoting community development, initiatives or impact that has helped shaped youth development in Kogi State.
Oladele John Nihi’s initiatives have significantly impacted youth development in Kogi State and beyond. with some notable aspects of his work to include;
– Youth Empowerment Programs: Nihi has launched various initiatives, such as the OJN Foundation Youth Hub, which provides a safe space for education, innovation, mentorship, and skills development for young people.
– Entrepreneurship Development: He has emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in driving innovation and creating wealth, and has pledged to train youths in different entrepreneurial skills and vocations.
– Agricultural Development: Nihi has also announced plans to provide farmland to youths in Kogi State for mechanized farming, with the aim of promoting self-reliance and food security.
-Education and Leadership Development: Through the OJN Foundation, Nihi aims to bridge the leadership gap in Nigeria by providing young people with the skills, knowledge, and values necessary for effective leadership.

Recalled his experience when he aspired to the National President of NYCN. The struggle was described as fiarce, he didn’t win, but his victory for Comr. Babangida can be traced to his expertise, experience and bridge built over the years.
The need to sustain the present synergy that saw all stakeholders come together, with Comr. Ben Jerry sacrificing his aspiration must be sustained, particularly with the interest and love Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo has shown on youths matters.
