The Nigeria Union of Teachers NUT, Niger state wing wishes to felicitate with the entire Teachers of Nigeria and Niger State in particular on the occasion of 62nd Independence Day anniversary celebration of Nigeria as a Nation.
The State Chairman Niger State wing, of the NUT,Comrade Adamu Mohammed Akayago said Teachers in the state should see themselves as a role model and Nation builders for Children’s to emulate.
Comrade Akayoga mentioned that”as we celebrate our Nation 62 Independence day,despite the numerous challenges been faced by Teacher’s, Teaching profession and the education sector, we as Teachers still remain models of proper upbringing in the society.
He stated that Teachers most not forget the struggle made by our founding fathers in ensuring the sustainability and development of Teaching profession and education in the country and enjoins them to continue to build on it.
“The Nigeria Union of Teachers urdged the entire Teachers as patriotic and desciplined individuals to continue to put in their extra efforts in performing their Civic responsibilities of Teaching and should also imbibe moral values as enshrined in the profession so as not to allow the profession to derailled”.
The Chairman,Comrade Akayago used the medium to call on the State goverment to as a matter of urgency look into the lingering challenges facing Teachers and Teaching profession in the state, with a view of finding a lasting solution for the overall growth and development of the profession.
