NUEE Gets New Executives in Kogi As Comr. Ajero, Amari tasks newly inaugurated Executives on discipline, increase productivity.

 

Comr. Joe Ajero, the National President, Nigeria Labour Congress and the Kogi State Chairman NLC, Comr. Gabriel Amari, have tasked the newly inaugurated National Union of Electricity Employee NUEE, Executives, Kogi State Council, to run the affairs of the Union with the workers welfare, discipline and productivity their watchwords.

 

 

The NLC National President and his Counterpart in the State gave the charge to the newly elected Executive Members who emerged at the 4th Triennial Delegate Conference of the National Union of Electricity Employee NUEE, Kogi State Council.

 

Represented by the Vice President Professional, Comrade Arthur Ovwah, the NLC President, described NUEE as a veritable affiliate of NLC, assured that the Congress would continue to make the welfare of Members a priority.

 

The NLC Chairman disclosed of several ongoing interventions by the NLC to reposition the Electricity sector of the economy for optimum productivity.

He said efforts are also ongoing with talks with Management to improve on Workers welfare under the umbrella of NUEE, tasked members of NUEE Kogi State Council to always work in unity, with the mindset to improve the activities of Kogi Electricity Distribution Company in the State.

In his remarks, Comr. Gabriel Amari, Kogi State NLC Chairman, expressed appreciation to the contribution of NUEE in the struggle for workers welfare in the State, urged the newly elected leaders to see their emergence as a call to service.

In his remarks, Comr. Eleojo Opaluwa, Kogi State NLC Vice Chairman and Acting Assistant General Secretary, NUEE, said the Union in the Zone will continue to agitate for the struggle of workers welfare, promotion and other benefits their priority.

He however tasked members to be punctual, productive diligent in their services to KEDC, insisting that through collaboration, working with the Management, the union will strive for improved condition of service for workers.

In his remarks, the Acting Managing Director, Kogi Electricity Distribution Limited, (KEDL), Mr. Olaseni Augustine Agupopo, represented by Engr. Michael Unarumi, assured NUEE members of an enabling environment that will enable them to operate within the confines of their rules and engagement.

At the end of the election, the Returning officer, Comr. Eleojo Opaluwa, announced the New State Executive Members to include; Comr. Monday Aduku, Chairman, Comr. Abdul Kareem Sadiq Agbogun – Secretary and Comr. Abdulkadir Kafayat – Treasurer amongst others.

In his post election speech, Comr. Monday Aduku, assured of taking the Union to the next level, promise to sustain the welfare program and initiate new ones in the new dispensation.
