The North Central Youths For Good Governance, led by Comr. Bako Austin, have passed a vote of confidence on the Permanent Secretary, Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Mr Olusade Adesola.
The Youths in a Press Conference held yesterday enjoined those peddling false and fabricated allegations against the Permanent Secretary not to distract Barr Nyesom Wike, who from day one has left no one in doubt about his noble intentions to rid the city of Illegalities and ensure massive infrastructural development.
While calling on those it refers to as mischief makers not to cry foul where there is none, the North Central Youths For Good Governance charged them to dedicate their brains and energy to more fruitful and meaningful ventures that will help move the nation’s capital forward.
Briefing the Press, Comr. Bako reacted to a write up titled: ‘Why FCT Perm. Sec. must be sacked and arrested now,’ credited to one ‘faceless’ Babalola Tajudeen circulated online, alleging unfounded misconducts against the Permanent Secretary of the FCT Administration, described the write faceless authors as unpatriotic Nigerians who are still bent on living in the past.
He described as unfounded that Dr Olusade plotted the removal of his predecessor, Sir Christian Ohaa, expressed the ignorant of the authors to administrative procedures, described the allegations that the permanent secretary unilaterally employed 10,000 staff members in three years thus raising the total number of FCTA staff to 40,000 as untrue.
Records at the Human Resource department of the FCTA Comr. Bako said shows that FCTA’s total staff strength currently stands at 32,201 as of August 2023 and as contained in the handing over notes presented to the new minister.
“The record shows that the staff strength was initially 32,703 as of December 2020, rose to 32,831 in June 2021 and steadily came down with efficiency to 32,201 by August this year.”
Comr. Bako noted that it is untrue and baseless for the Permanent Secretary to have employed mainly people from his village, state, region, or religious group as alleged by the ‘crafters of fallacies’, urged the security agencies to fish out the authors of the unfounded allegations against.
Also speaking on the alleged award of a multi-billion naira contract, the North Central Youths for Good Governance laughed at the allegations of contract award, land allocation,
urged the FCT minister to disregard the frivolous write-ups by faceless authors and professional liars, throw it in the dust bin.
