North Central PDP Youth Leaders call on PDP, Atiku to pick Gov. Wike as running mate.


 

 

Youth leaders under the umbrella of North Central Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) have called on the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party to prevail on Governor Nelson Wike of Rivers State to accept the position of Vice President to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former vice president and the PDP presidential candidate come, 2023.

 

Rising from the meeting in Lafia, Nassarawa State, Nigeria on Tuesday, the treasurer of the group and PDP Youth leader, from Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Hon. Comrade Oluwakayode Emmanuel who addressed the press after the meeting stated that Governor Wike has demonstrated competence and dexterity to change the narrative of Nigeria politics positively.

He added that, Governor Wike is one among the PDP former aspirants who re~awake the consciousness of the party members across the country as power is not given but taken by those who are ready to take responsibility without blame game, adding that, the youths from North Central Nigeria are prepared to queue behind Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as Nigeria president and Governor Nelson Wike as Vice President respectively.

According to the treasurer of the group, Hon Oluwakayode Emmanuel, the group said the group has looked into the antecedents of all former presidential aspirants and decided to pass a vote of confidence on Governor Wike for positive transformation of Nigeria.

He said we can not continue to watch people dying every day only for APC led administration under President Muhammadu Buhari to write letters of condolences without dealing with the root cause of the matter.

The group, therefore, called on the leadership of the great party to consider Governor Wike as Vice President to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar during the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.
