The Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, has applauded aspirants who participated in the just-concluded APC Kogi West Senatorial District primaries for demonstrating political maturity, loyalty, and commitment to party unity.

Reacting after the exercise, Asiru Idris described the peaceful conduct of the primaries as a reflection of the growing internal democracy within the APC, noting that the willingness of some aspirants to make sacrifices in the overall interest of the party greatly contributed to the smooth and rancour-free process.

He emphasized the fact that their vision for a better Kogi west is very clear and valid, capacity to engender positive transformation is never in doubt neither was their progressive ideology, but the supremacy of party structure and their individual values that’s geared towards party unity, stability and growth made the difference.

He particularly commended frontline aspirants including Hon. Aro Samuel Bamidele, Senator Smart Adeyemi, Mrs Doyin Eshanomi , High Chief Tajudeen Bismillah, Hon. Folami, and others for their mature disposition before, during, and after the exercise, stressing that their actions have further strengthened the spirit of cohesion and sportsmanship within the party.

According to him, the development sends a strong message that the APC in Kogi West remains focused on collective victory rather than individual ambition, adding that the party has continued to distinguish itself as a disciplined and progressive political platform.

“As a party, there is no victor and no vanquished. What is most important is the unity, stability, and future of the APC. The maturity displayed by all aspirants and stakeholders has once again proven that our party is united and prepared for greater victories ahead,” he stated.

Asiru Idris also commended party leaders, delegates, and grassroots mobilizers for maintaining peace and decorum throughout the process, noting that the successful conduct of the primaries has further positioned the APC as the dominant political force in Kogi West and Kogi State at large.
