NKFI Rector appreciates Gov. Bello over Tertiary institution salary scale approval


 

…pleads for more state government’s intervention

 

The Rector Nigeria -Korea Friendship Institute, Mr William Charles Oluwatoyin has expressed his profound appreciation to Governor Yahaya Bello over his approval of the Tertiary institution Salary Scale for the staff of the institute after over 9 years.

Mr. Williams Charles in a Press release on Monday said that Governor Bello has continued to show his keen interest in education particularly the growth of Science, Technology and vocational sequences and most importantly the governor has again proven his concern for the welfare of workers.

He explained that upon his assumption as the Rector of the institute he was bent on making impact and one area of interest was the improvement of staff’s welfare and the ratification of certain anomalies one of which was that staff of the institute who were on secondment from their various ministries were placed on permanent employment as staff of the institute.

The Rector noted that the governor’s action reflects keen love for the institute and his desire to ensure that NKFI succeeds in placing the state on a global map of 21st century vocational and technical learning adding that the state under the leadership of Governor Bello has created and guaranteed an enabling environment for the institute to actualitise this goal.

Mr. Williams asserted that while the institute remained indelibly grateful for great assistance and good gestures of the governor, just like Oliver twist, the Rector pleaded for more of government’s intervention in other areas of need including infrastructures, increased manpower, upcoming accreditation exercise and other areas of need.
