NIPR KOGI STATE CHAPTER CHAIRMAN, ISMAILA ISAH, SALUTES WORKERS ON 2026 MAY DAY CELEBRATION
The Chairman, Kogi State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Hon. Ismaila Isah, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt commendations to workers across Kogi State on the occasion of the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration.
The Chairman described workers as the backbone of governance, economic growth, and societal development, noting that progresses made across various sectors of the economy are owed to the resilience, dedication, and the invaluable commitment of the Nigerian worker.
He acknowledged the invaluable contributions of public and private sector workers in the state, whose daily efforts sustain institutions, strengthen service delivery, promote stability and development within the state and beyond. In particular, the Chairman noted that the contributions of information managers, branding and other PR executives remain spectacularly invaluable in holding the society together in peace and prosperity.
Reflecting on the theme of this year’s May Day celebration, “Insecurity, Poverty-Bane of Decent Work”, Hon. Isah emphasised that it serves as a timely reminder of the need to prioritise workers’ welfare, professional development, and conducive working environment that enable productivity and innovation.
He urged employers in the public and private sectors and stakeholders to continue to invest in human capital development, uphold fair labour practices, and foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and motivation in the workplace.
The Chairman further called on workers to remain steadfast, professional, and committed to excellence, while embracing continuous learning and ethical standards in the discharge of their duties.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the NIPR Kogi State Chapter to promoting professionalism, responsible communication, and capacity building among practitioners, in line with global best practices.
Hon. Isah concluded by wishing all workers a fulfilling and impactful May Day celebration, while encouraging them to remain hopeful and resolute in contributing to the growth and development of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
