The Member Representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency Hon Lawal Muhammadu Idirisu received an award of uncommon stewardship in recognition of his giant strides in all sectors .
During the presentation of the award the chairman who led the team Hon. Itodo described the Hon. Member as the best House of Representative Member and wishes to acknowledge and appreciate the Hon. Member for his outstanding and overwhelming scorecard. Saying the award presented to him is in appreciation of his courageous and landmark achievements so far in kogi state . Adding that out of Politics the Member had contributed a lot by citing the West African Ceramics in Oguro/ Niger bridge in Ajaokuta which has really helped in reducing youths restiveness in the area as job opportunities were created for the teaming youths from across the country and Kogi State in particular and has also boosted business activities in the area.
Also rated his Empowerment program as outstanding where many constiuents benefitted a lot from his skills acquisition where most were trained on different fields with cash back up to start on their own. The distribution of motorcycles, tricycles, freezers , grinding engine, generators , cash Empowerment to people with Disabilities recently is quite acknowledged and appreciated.
In the aspect of education the team also rated him as best noting that the doggedness approach he applied in educational sector in his Constituency is unique as he embarked on the payments of Waec/Neco and Jamb fees for selected SS3 less privilege and Vulnerables students in the Constituency as outstanding . The renovation and building of blocks of classrooms and furnitures as outstanding urging him to keep it up.
Construction of boreholes in some communities across the Constituency by the Hon. Member was highly commendable describing the approach as timely , Urging him to continue to do more with time .
The Federal Employment opportunities so far influenced by the Hon . Member to his constituents is numerous to enumerate as he has put food on tables of many constiuents in his Constituency.
Hon. Lawal Muhammadu Idirisu in his brief remarks gave thanks to almighty Allah and dedicated the award to His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello the Executive Governor of Kogi State who he described as a Leader and Mentor who lead by example prayed that almighty Allah to make our dreams for 2023 become a thing of the past inshallah. He also appreciated the leadership of the team and the delegation for finding him worthy of such an award of Merit on him and promised to do more with time inshallah.
