On behalf of the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Kogi State chapter, I heartily rejoice with His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State.
Your Excellency, we in the NLC are proud to be associated with your leadership and administration that has made another milestone.
Your Excellency, while we make bold to say that amidst the challenges posed by governance, you have stayed the course and weathered the storm.
We cannot but thank your Excellency that despite the difficulties amidst paucity of funds, you’ve held your head and shoulders high above level waters.
We must on this auspicious occasion of the celebration of your fifth year anniversary as Governor of our dear state, commend your undaunting desire to improve on the lots of Kogi workers under the umbrella of the NLC. We commend the success your Excellency has made in improving the welfare of workers through prompt payment of salaries. We in the NLC want to use this auspicious occasion to restate that more needs to be done for the Kogi workers.
As you step up the task to do more for the people of the state in the coming years, we in the NLC with optimism look forward to the full implementation of the N30,000 minimum wage, cash backing of promotion and in the general wellbeing of Kogi workers amongst other request.
One thing the Kogi State NLC would assure your Excellency in the coming years is the unalloyed support of Kogi workers in the support for your Excellency to seek a higher office.
Without mincing words, we in the NLC have no doubt in your capacity and ability to unite and make Nigeria secure.
