Comr. Mohammed Sanusi Inyanya, the Kogi State President, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees has urge workers in the Local Government to remain resolute in their belief in Nigeria’s prosperous future, pointing out that better days lies ahead.
The NULGE President in a statement to mark the nation’s 64th Independence Anniversary expressed optimism that, “the ship of Kogi State under the leadership of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo as Chief servant is sailing in the right direction” stating that the administration is striving to revamp and restore the state’s economy and improve the living standards of its citizens particularly those working at the Local Government.
The NULGE President emphasized that Kogi State was on the right trajectory in terms of development and economic growth, said with the turn around and repositioning of Local Government administration under the present administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo, urge workers to pray for the administration and the nation as a whole.
The President commended the present administration in the state, lauded Gov. Ododo for his remarkable contributions in the payment of full salaries to LG workers.
According to the statement, the NULGE President, disclosed that there was verifiable evidence that the state has made significant progress in the areas of agriculture, healthcare, transportation and other critical sectors since the inception of the administration eight months ago, described the present administration as local government friendly.
The NULGE President called on LG workers in the State to remain supportive of the present administration of Gov Ododo pointing out that in the State, the administration has rekindled the hope of workers working at the third tier after several years of suffering.
The NULGE President praised the leadership style of Gov. Ododo, which according to him has restored peace and security to the state. He highlighted significant improvements on road networks especially within urban towns in the state, prompt and regular payment of pensioners and civil servants and the serenity of the state capital.
He prayed that God will use the government of Kogi State to continue to prioritize the people’s welfare first above other consideration.
He prayed for a greater future for the people of Kogi State and sought the continued collaboration of the citizens of the state, particularly those across the Local Government Areas in support for the present administration.
