Nigeria @62; Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA Felicitates with Nigerians, Kogites, sues for Peace and Unity


 

The Honourable Commissioner of Finance,Budget and Economic Planning, Kogi State, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA has felicitated with Kogites and indeed all Nigerians on the commemoration of the country’s 62nd independence Anniversary.

 

In his independence message released through his media Assistant,Ayopemi OPOMULERO, Asiwaju harps on peace, Unity and indivisibility of the Nation while calling on Nigerians to sustain support for the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in bringing to fore more dividends of democracy for the collective good of the people.

He said the New Direction administration of Governor Yahaya Bello in kogi state has worked tenaciously six years down the line to engender good Governance in fulfilment of the promises made to the people, which has in turn set Kogi state on the trajectory of sustainable development where peace, unity and progress is the hallmark.

In his words”The precious faith in Nigeria and the lessons we continue to learn from our errors and triumphs will help us in building the great and prosperous Nation we desire as a people. Also in the confluence state, it has been a dedicated journey on the New Direction path, although tedious, but we have made appreciable progress and we are poised to do more”.

The Honourable Commissioner asserted that we have subscribed to democracy as our preferred form of Government. We should therefore nurture it patiently for the development of our country and the good of the present and future generations of our people.

On this day, as we remember the labour of our heroes past, I urge us as a people to remain resolute in the defence of our unity, the pursuit of State and National prosperity and the promotion of fairness, justice and peace for the benefit of all our people.

He urged Nigerians and Kogites specifically, to make positive use of the voting opportunity come 2023 general election by making the right and progressive choice that would consolidate the plethora of achievements recorded so far.

Asiwaju expressed optimism that at 62, despite the glaring challenges, Nigeria still maintain the unending potential to become a great Nation, saying with collective determination and patrioof our people, we will surely become a prosperous country.
