Nigeria @ 62: Appreciable Progress Has Been Made Despite Challenges Says Hon.Andrew Onu Adama.


 

The Director General Asiwaju/Shettima Presidential campaign Council [ABAT-PCC] for Okura State constituency -Dekina local government area,Hon. Andrew Onu Adama has extended his felicitation message to President Mohammed Buhari the C in C of the Federal republic of Nigeria, Kogi state Govermor, Alh.Yahaya Bello and the generality of Nigerians as the country clock sixty two years of corporate existence.

 

Hon. Andrew Onu Adama in a message of felicitation which was made available to newsmen in Lokoja from the sideline of Nigerian at sixty two years hinted that the country and its citizens deserved celebrating herself considering that the founding fathers fought for freedom at a great cost.

The Dekina born philanthropists and a Chieftain of the controlling party,the All Progressives Congress explained that it is desirable to mark it because the British Union Jack was lowered for the nation’s Green -White-Green flag at Logas which heralded the freedom,peace, Unity ,progress and development being witness today.

Hon . Andrew Onu Adama explained that despite myriads of problems, notwithstanding there are appreciable Progress in some sectors of the national life in the last sixty two years insisting that most significant that the country has been able to remain one despite threats to her corporate existence is a feat worth celebrating.

Accordingly,he pointed out that the democratic experience which according to him,has not only afforded Nigerians rare opportunity to elect their leaders at the various levels of governance since 1999 brought freedom of speech associated with it.

His words: In socio-economic development, Nigeria has also made appreciable Progress-The nation did not have more than five Universities at Independence but it presently has more 170 Universities that include federal ,States, and private universities and the same story with polytechnics and federal government Colleges Education now called Unity schools.

While wishing Nigerian and Nigerians a happy sixty second Independence anniversary , Andrew Onu Adama reminded that advancement is not easy to come by and the forthcoming 2023 general election provides an ample opportunity to end the era of endless blame on pathetic leadership for the nation’s woes ,so that Nigeria can take her rightful place in the comity of nations by supporting credible candidates like Asiwaju/Shettima Presidential ticket and other candidates under the rostrum of All Progressives Congress for the delivery of development to the country and her citizens.
