The leading Okene/Ogori Magogo Federal Constituency aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2023, Hon. *Yahaya Adeiza Ishaq (Presage)* had call on all Nigerians to renew faith with Nigeria as we add another year to our age. We will get better, we will be greater, of that there can be no doubt.
*Hon Yahaya Adeiza Ishaq* tasked the people on the need to avoid violence, ethno-religious conflicts and any other behaviour capable of threatening the peace and unity of the country.
He said though the country had witnessed several challenges since independence, it has nevertheless made significant progress in its over six decades of independence.
*Hon. Yahaya Adeiza (Presage)* enjoined Nigerians to continue to tow the path of peace and always promote positive values that would move the country forward.
He said Nigerians youth need to wake up to their responsibilities and take their destinies in their hands. According to him, the era of over-dependency on rent economy foisted on the nation by oil is gradually winding down and, as such, Nigerians should imbibe the culture of hard work and gainful productive activities and get involve in active politics.
*Hon.Yahaya Adeiza* urged all governments at the federal, states and local governments to put the interest of the youths at heart and create the enabling environment for the youths to be involve in all sectors of the governance as the Nigerian Youths has the highest population in all electoral processes in the country.
He uses this opportunity to appreciate our workaholic and youthful Governor, *His Excellency Yahaya Bello* for given the youths and the women in the state to serve in differents capacity in his government as he has proven to be one of the best Governor in the whole federation in terms of youth inclusiveness in governance and security of life and properties.
He forwarder said “I congratulate Nigerians and the people of Kogi State especially the people of Okene/Ogori Mangogo Federal Constituency on this year’s independence anniversary and I call on us all to continue to work for the unity of our dear state, our constituency and Nigeria at large.
“Our strength lies in our unity. We should therefore avoid anything that will destroy our unity and corporate existence.
“Let me also seize this opportunity to call for togetherness, oneness and accommodation for all. We must accept the fact that none of us is as great as all of us.
He added that the sacrifices of the country’s founding fathers and all those who brought the country to its present position would not be forgotten.
“I urge Nigerians to cultivate the habit of hard work and high productivity in order to create wealth, stimulate national prosperity and the growth of the economy.
“If we move in this direction, I am optimistic that this country will get over its challenges and continue to maintain its place in the comity of nations,” *Hon.Yahaya Adeiza (Presage)* said.
He concluded that in spite of the problems the country had gone through, there is still a silver lining in the sky, urging that all hands must be on deck in order to take the country to its destined position of greatness.
