In view of the excellent track record of performance as Governor of Kogi State, the South South Support Movement for GYB2PYB has continued to throw their weight behind the 2023 Presidential candidacy of the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
The group, which expanded it’s coverage and structures to Akwa Ibom State on Monday 9th August, 2021 at the Tilapia’s Resort Abak, said the youths is insisting that Gov. Bello has the capacity and experience to lead Nigeria out of its present challenges.
The Governor of Kogi State, ably represented by the Deputy Speaker of Kogi State, Rt. Hon. Ahmed during the inauguration of the Uyo State Executives and State coordinator noted that the governor fits the description of the kind of president that Nigeria needs in 2023.
His words; “Youths across the nation having seen Governor Yahaya Bello as a unifier, a man who could speak and transform Nigeria to the country of our dreams, having seeing his antecedents in Kogi State. There have been calls for him to contest and if he fails to declare his interest at the appropriate time, they would be left with no other option than to contribute money and purchase the nomination form for him”.
The National coordinator of the Movement, Prince Nwala Charles in his address insist that generational change must happen in the next election. “We will vote for any youth that is not above 50 years in 2023. Fortunately, Gov. Yaya Bello is within that age bracket and he has the capacity to take us out of this mess.” he said.
