The Secretary to the Niger State Government,Ahmed Ibrahim Matane has reiterated Government’s commitment to the welfare of workers of the State.
The SSG,Ahmed Matene disclosed this when he received the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Niger State Council led by the State Chairman, Comrade Idris Lafene at Government house Minna.
Ahmed Matane revealed that the present administration has accorded priority attention to policies and programmes that have direct bearing on workers and will continue to strive to consolidate the gains recorded for the betterment of their condition of service and welfare to the highest possible limit.
The Ahmed Matene assured the Executive Committee of the NLC that Government would do all that is necessary to ensure that industrial harmony continues to prevail in Niger State.
He urged members of the Nigeria Labour Congress in the State to remain committed to their responsibilities so that collectively, “we can achieve the highest levels of efficiency and productivity that will fast-track the socio-economic development of our State”.
In his remarks, the State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Niger State Council, Comrade Idris Lafene has earlier solicited for cordial rapport between the Executive Committee of NLC and the State Government.
