Niger Delta Ex Agitators blasts Prof. Sagay over comments on Gov. Bello; describes him as a confused old man that needs attention.

The Niger Delta Ex – Agitators has taken a swipe over comments made by Professor Itse Sagay against the presidential ambition of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, describing him as a man who is already known for inexplicably obsessed with controversy, getting older and needed attention.

The group leader, Wilson Reuben Clifford while reacting to Sagay’s comment said Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has within a short time as Governor, proven to the world that he has the capacity to lead the country. He said Nigerian states are faced with serious threats of insecurity, but the Governor has been able to effectively manage his states. “Kogi State is the only state in North Central Nigeria which is safe and people sleeping with two eyes closed”.

The group further stress that, Governor Bello is the only Governor who has been a bridge in uniting people of different ethnic background, region and in National affairs. He warned that Prof Sagay should in his own interest, stay off the interest of the people as the people of Niger Delta has fully thrown their weight behind the Governor of Kogi State and will not be distracted by his usual antics to mislead Nigerians into believing he is speaking for them.

“A leopard cannot change its spots. We are warning Prof. Sagay to henceforth desist from distracting Governor Bello of Kogi State. We as a region has seen qualities in him that makes him stands out among others; and he is the only man that could build on the solid foundation laid by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government.”

Prof. Sagay is always known to mislead the people with his controversial, unpatriotic and retrogressive comments. It would interest him to know that Alhaji Yahaya Bello’s decision to join the 2023 presidential race was not a personal ambition but a call by patriotic Nigerians who want him to consolidate on good work started by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government.

We want to make it empathetically clear that Governor Yahaya Bello must contest for president in 2023. And at the right time, we shall come out in larger numbers to persuade him, even if it means getting him the nomination forms.
